Personal Life

Born David Mohato Bereng Seeiso on 17 July 1963, Letsie III is the son of King Moshoeshoe II and Queen Nkomazana. He was educated in Lesotho and the United Kingdom. Upon his father’s forced exile in 1990, Letsie III was appointed regent. He ascended to the throne in 1992, becoming the third King of Lesotho since independence in 1966.

King Letsie III is married to Queen Masenate Seeiso. They have three children: Prince Lerotholi Seeiso, Princess ‘Maseeiso Seeiso, and Prince Tuko Seeiso.
